Do you want to do something exciting, something you will remember for the rest of your life?

We have put together a list of once in a lifetime experiences for you to try this year. We have started off with some less daring of activities for the feint hearted among you, and then the list gets a bit more extreme. Where would you draw the line?

This list contains activities available in the UK, however I'm sure similar experiences can be found in different countries.

Sports Days

Our first choice is a sports day; don't worry your not entering an egg and spoon race. A good range of sporting tours are available, including tours of football grounds and race courses as well as Silverstone and Twickenham. If you prefer to watch the sports not look at the grounds, you can also find days at the races or a night at the dogs

Some of these experiences are under £20 and would be great as a present. Some include a lunch and are a little more expensive and some are for the lucky few including the "Ultimate Anfield Package for Two" at £550 but this does include breakfast and a kick around with former club players. This really is the gift of a lifetime for a very special friend or just for yourself.

Driving Days

For the slightly more adrenalin fuelled, why not try a driving day. Have you always wanted to be a racing driver, do you think that F1 stars are just over paid sissies? Then why not see how good you are

There is a bewildering array of driving experiences on offer from a number of companies. You can drive super cars such as Lamborghinis and Ferraris, or you may prefer an open top single seater racing car. Alternatively you could go off road in a monster truck or even a tank. There are even driving experiences for kids, who knows, your son may be the next Lewis Hamilton.

Driving Experiences

Flying

Right time to up the aunty a little now. If your memories of flying are duty free and dodge in flight meals, then why not have a go at one of these flying experiences?

Pretty tame but a great deal of fun, is a session in a flight simulator. Here you can play pilot and learn how to take off and fly in a variety of scenarios and conditions.

Next you could try a trip in a helicopter. There are a number of helicopter experiences on offer at reasonable prices. These include learning to fly a helicopter or even a helicopter tour over London or the set of Emmerdale. If these are a bit too relaxing for you, why not try some acrobatic flying. Here you have a number of options to fly in a small stunt plane. You can do loops and barrel rolls; tail-chasing and dog fighting manoeuvres and many more stomach churning things.

Flying Experiences

Parachute Jump

Now for the true adrenalin junkies. If even flying in a plane is too boring for you then why not throw yourself out of one.

Yes our ultimate day to remember is a parachute jump. There are a number of skydiving and parachuting experiences available including single and tandem jumps with a professional. Some of these don't come cheap, but there can't be many things more thrilling without buying a ticket on one of the Virgin Galactic flights.

Why not do a parachute jump for charity? That way you can have the experience of a lifetime and help others at the same time.

Any More Ideas?

This list is still short, if you have any good ideas for exciting things to do, then please add them to the Exciting Things ToTry This Year list on the xooguru.com website. I will then add them to this hub.
